Changing Lives in Asia
Asia Overview
Christian churches and their leadership present a complex patchwork of Christianity in the diverse countries of Asia, the most densely populated area of the world. Whether in fear or by nature, many Christian church leaders demonstrate little desire for evangelistic outreach to those outside their church walls. Nevertheless, recent statistics state that between 20 to 65 million people in China identify themselves as Christian—and other Asian nations show similar increases. There is still concern, however, because Eastern religions and philosophies continue to influence the populace. Although in many countries the persecution of Christians continues, it has failed to diminish the spirits of many church leaders who look to The Leadership Summit to meet their need for resources and leadership development.
