About Who We Are
At its core, the Arts Segment of Willow Creek Association is about rediscovering awe: constantly moving toward the deep sense of wonder that is kindled inside of us when we are touched by God. Awe doesn’t come from mere intellectual argument, proficiency of a craft, or the excellence of human efforts. Instead, awe flows when hearts and minds are opened to hear and receive God’s life-changing message of truth and hope.
As His followers, formed in His image, artists and teaches in the church have the amazing privilege of using our God-given creative gifts and abilities in a process that opens the hearts of believers and seekers to the awe-inspiring reality of His presence. As we offer our gifts and abilities to be used by God, we enter into a partnership with Him, creating moments of awe that effectively resonate His life-changing message to others. With special emphasis on serving those involved in the “creating and carrying out” of a church’s weekly services, the Arts Segment is dedicated to providing Christ-following artists and teachers with training, resources, and networking opportunities that encourage them to experience the awe of God themselves, and to create moments of awe where the hearts of others are opened to the grace and goodness of God.
About What We Do
There are three main areas that we interact with artists and teachers to help them both move toward wonder personally and craft experiences that help others rediscover the awe of who God is.
PRODUCTS
We provide a vast catalog of service support resources including videos, drama scripts, messages, music charts, and a whole lot more to make your job easier each week. Not only that, but we offer training products to help you develop your skills and the skills of your team to be more effective in what you do. You’ll even find resources to help you stay connected to God in your personal relationship with Him.
EVENTS
Willow Arts produces several events to equip both you and your entire team. The Arts Conference is an annual gathering of artists and teachers each June for inspiration and practical, skill-based training. We also have regional events called the Green Room and the Leaders Table designed to meet artists where they are, providing smaller environments for skill development, spiritual exhortation, and practical encouragement for artists and teachers.
CONNECTION
Places for artists and teachers to connect with others who have common passions and challenges are few and far between. Willow Arts desires to provide environments for you to do just that. Through events and online tools like the blog and idea network, you can share both your struggles and your ideas, moving you toward the wonder and awe that come from experiencing God’s presence together.
